Fall Seed Starting Workshop
Begin your fall garden with confidence by learning how to grow strong, healthy transplants from seed.
Instructor Shawn McLoughlin will help participants choose productive fall crops and determine when different vegetables should be started. The class will explain how temperature, moisture, light, soil, airflow, and planting depth affect germination and seedling growth.
Participants will also learn how to prevent common problems such as weak, leggy, overcrowded, or unhealthy seedlings. The class will conclude with guidance on recognizing when seedlings are ready for the garden and properly hardening them off before transplanting.
