Fermentation Workshop
Master the fundamentals of fermentation during this beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop with Teresa Puente.
Participants will learn how fermentation cultures work and how they can be used to create kombucha and naturally fermented homemade sodas. The class will introduce the steps for preparing kombucha, caring for an active culture, recognizing signs of fermentation, and determining when a beverage is ready for its next stage.
The workshop will also explore ways to flavor fermented beverages using fruit, herbs, spices, and other ingredients. Teresa will discuss culture care, cleanliness, bottling, carbonation, storage, and appropriate handling practices.
Participants will also learn about the potential role fermented foods and beverages can have as part of a varied diet without making individual medical or health claims.
