Raised Bed Building Workshop

Learn how to plan and construct a strong, durable raised garden bed during this practical, beginner-friendly workshop.

Instructor James Bethany will provide step-by-step instruction covering raised-bed size, height, placement, and construction. Participants will learn how to choose appropriate lumber, fasteners, tools, and materials and how to measure, prepare, and assemble the different pieces.

The class will also cover creating square corners, reinforcing the frame, leveling and positioning the finished bed, and preparing the site for soil. Participants will receive a complete materials list and practical construction tips they can use to build a raised bed at home.

An interactive question-and-answer session will give participants an opportunity to discuss their individual garden spaces and raised-bed plans.
